Do I get paid?
I was injured on a jobsite and have been off work for 5 1/2 days. Will I get recieve any payment for lost wages or will I need to use my vacation time so I don't have a short check? Also, can I put the time down spent at the doctors office on my time sheet? I am from Iowa.

RE: Do I get paid?
Iowa's waiting period is 3 days. No payment is due for the first 3 days of disability unless the disability lasts longer than 14 days, then the first 3 days will be paid retroactively.

I don't know how Iowa handles 1/2 days. Usually doctors appts are not put on time sheets. Maybe someone here is from Iowa and can give you more info on that.

RE: Do I get paid?
treatment time is leave time handled by employer, not disability that's handled by insurance.
