RE: broken heart and broken back
medical opinions, recommendations, and treatment advice are just that and are not ultimatums.
as the patient you have the right to choose whether to undertake treatment or tests. If you don't want to pursue a surgical option at this time and there are no realistic treatment alternatives, it is likely your condition will be declared to be at maximum medical improvement. a rating and permanent impairment benefits will be the next step.

RE: broken heart and broken back
thanks for the reply,.....i did make a mistake on the date,i put 09 and the surgery was this yr. 2010...it is just so stressful,i never thought i would end up like this,to be treated as though i got hurt on purpose, its just that everytime my doc says i need certain test done or and any surgical procedures i have to get off some of my heart meds and am not comfortable with that,it would seem like they would think of another test.but again i was told the surgery i had in jan 2010.i was going to be syptom free and be able to go back to work and things dont seem to be going that way for me.physical therapy stopped my therapy after 5 sessions and said they felt as though they werent helping me and didnt want to add to my pain.whats a person to do????

RE: broken heart and broken back
Myelogram Are you sure you wish to not have it done, as it can better help find the pain problem your having.

RE: broken heart and broken back
failed back surgery is almost an epidemic; your situation is all too common.
Of course, they are changing their mind-god compex: "there is always something they think they can fix."
don't let them cut without at least a second opinion and preferably a couple.
