You lost me with that one BB-please explain.

That also disqualifies one for holding a CDL, without a DOT requirement issue wavied, after one performed the proper testing required to obtain a wavier. Then one goes to the DMV for a hearing to try and obtain their CDL Back.

But also, you need to find the Rules and Laws of Medical Neurological Conditions, subjecting one not to have a CDL also. It's in there.

Nothing in the rules or laws says you can not hold a CDL, just that you may not qualify to USE it. Please post a link to a reference to the contracy.

I am not trying to crack wise here BB. I am an avid researcher and the more I know and the more resources I have to learn from the better I like it. Indulge me if you see fit.

New driver, my treating Doctor, sent the issues of the Laws for DOT requirements and such to my Attorney, and the WC IC's people, like Adjustor, NCM, Voc Rehab, and their Attorneys. I will try and find it first for you. Since I have about 6 feet of just my Work Comp Injury copies, it will take a little time to find, but I will find it.

I know with my meds - they all say caution on them when operating motor vehicles. As for my pain meds that I take once in a great while because one pill still knocks me on my butt - there is no way I would get behind a wheel and drive. Not sure you would want me to either considering the effects they have on me.

As for some meds with cdl class license I think that even with some of the HBP meds you have to get a waiver by a doctor - or at least my dad did for his. Not because they made him drowsy but because he had HBP - but that was back in the 80's so things may have changed since then with respect to HBP and cdl requirements.

I dont care what law says you can if on meds you cause an accident and kill or injure someone you will be brought up on DUI charges not to mention cival charges....for me morally its just wrong to take that chance

I DON'T KNOW IF IS CAN DRIVE ACCORDING TO THE LAW WHILE ON MY DRUGS I JUST DON'T I CAN TELL I AM IMPAIRED, I AM TO SCARED TO DRIVE FEELING LIKE THIS. ACTUALLY I AM UNCOMFORTABLE BEING ALONE ANYWHERE. I GET DIZZY AND LIGHTHEADED AND GET A TERRIBLE SICKLY FEELING.

After my surgery the dr gave me stronger meds than I had been taking. On the old meds I was fine to drive. The first time I tried to drive on new meds, I realized I shouldn't be. I quit driving until I was able to stop taking the new meds. Better safe than sorry.

KSGIRL,YOU MIGHT HAVE FELT OK TO DRIVE ON YOUR FIRST MEDS BUT IF YOU GOT PULLED OVER,HOW WOULD YOU HAVE TESTED IF MADE TO TAKE A URINE TEST BUY THE POLICE??????HMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!HOW CAN YOU TELL??????????

Pooh you are right it was due to the HBP not the NBP meds and it is basically the same protocol as was in the 80's.

All those others with rational thinking that know their limit thanks to all. I think it is pretty much a consences that Rx narcotic drug use and driving is NEVER a good idea. Thanks ya'll.

Every person as their limitations. Whether or not they are able to drive while on a narcotic prescription is purely subjective. When I started taking pain medication, I would not have been able to drive. Now that my body as acclimated to the medication I would no longer pose a risk to other drivers or myself. If you're required to take a drug test make sure that you bring a note from your doctor, stating that you are currently on a prescription for narcotics.
