back injury
I fell last week on to my back, I went to the hospital everything is ok nothing is broken. I just kinda sprained my wrist. Then I went to work and the following Monday. They sent me to the doctor so they could check me out and see If I would be able to work, and to transfer all my stuff from the hospital over. The doctor again checked me and put me on lite duty. He said there is no treatment for me. Well it feels like my back needs to be put back into place. how do I talk the doctor in to writing me a referral to a chiropractor for like 5 visits. He says come back in 2 weeks well I need something before 2 weeks. I need it now. This doctor will not listen. there is other guys at work that have gone to him and he just postpones for like a month. then he still will give a fuss about refer them.
so my question is what can I do about this? |

RE: back injury
Pay out of pocket. Most chiros give a cash discount.

RE: back injury
it depends on your state's work comp rules. many allow you to change doctors; most allow a second opinion. without knowing your state I can't speculate on your procedure for changing doctors. you can go to your state's website and look up the rules.

dlt.epic Wrote:thank you all for your input I got it all sorted out, and was able to get the right contact info for wcf. I found out I can ask them directly without asking that doctor.1171 Wrote:it depends on your state's work comp rules. many allow you to change doctors; most allow a second opinion. without knowing your state I can't speculate on your procedure for changing doctors. you can go to your state's website and look up the rules. |

RE: back injury
when asking for information/help it's best to put your state in your post or add it to your profile so specific answers can be given.
see the "important threads" at the top of the injured worker forum. |
