Prncess, I don't see how it was as much your fault as it were theirs. They use to hook me up to the unit, mostly they would use 4 leads also, it was like a dual hook up, were they could use 4 leads on one person, or hook 2 leads on one, and 2 leads on the person next to you. I was allowed to crank mine up, or lower it. I had the settings normally started at 45, and cranked as high as 78. I never really felt pain, but did get relief. They had told me, never in the their years in PT, were there was ever a person that could go that high with it. But my muscle problems were so intense, that it truely did help me.

RE: electric stim
78 ack!! Maybe on my back or legs, but never on my shoulder owieeeee. Im skin and bone on my shoulder, no muscle, no fat. The shoulder honestly looks like one of an anorexic person. They use 4 leads on me, 1 by the underarm in front, one on the top of the shoulder one on the side and one on the backside. All spots are where Ive been sliced and diced twice. The only time the surgical areas hurt is when touched, now after this its constant pain again just like before I had the surgery. The machine other then the massage feels good, it doesnt do anything good for me. The only reason why Ive allowed them to use it on me is because I didnt want to be accused of fighting treatments. But now let them accuse me, That machine will never touch me again. Period!
Jayco- sorry you were released before you felt you are ready. Thats what happened after my first surgery. My new surgeon seems to be a lot better. I do at home therapy 7 days a week and 2-3 times per week with the therapists. Im supposed to go for a yr or so if not longer. My bluecross only covers 30 visits per yr, so I wont get all I need there. Hopefully my medical coverage will kick in so I can complete all treatments as needed. |
