RE: Ime results
Kat,

I would be in the same boat as you right now if I did not get a job through my husband's work. I also had two emg's that showed mild carpal tunnel again in my right hand. I have neck pain and hand pain in my dominant hand. I live with this pain everyday on a scale of 5-9. I have had so many diagnosis and up until now I have been diagnosed with RSD. Not one doctor has wanted to repeat the carpal tunnel surgery because of all the different nerve pains I have been having and all the symptoms.

I never did hire a lawyer by choice and when I went for my IME the only reason I feel I got a 10% rating is because it showed on my emg that I had mild carpal. The IME doctor ended up being more credible in the court so the IC won and ended up not having to pay for my medication because the IME doctor said he never had his patients on narcotics for pain with recurring carpal at the time when I was diagnosed with that.

Did you ever get a diagnosis for RSD or have the symptoms of RSD? Just curious because of all the pains you have mentioned and how our injury has seemed so much the same except I did not have surgery or trigger finger. It does not seem like you had a very good lawyer working for you from what it sounds like I have read. Maybe I am wrong but that is how it came across. Right now I am laid off but did find it very hard to work when I did. I did admin work with my husband at the same company my husband worked for. It was very easy for me to come and go and take breaks whenever I felt I needed them. Being laid off now is really a blessing for me to heal.

In a few weeks I will be going for an injection in my neck but this new pain management doctor has also diagnosed me with RSD. A stimulator is what I am facing next. I am not to thrilled but not many choices are left for me. If I were you I would really try to get another IME done as it seems the one you had was not done properly. My main concern was that my medical was paid for. I did not care how much percentage my IME was. Good luck.

carpal tunnel recurrence/ neuropathy / RSD.
1/29/07 injury date. Permanent. PIR settlement 8/4/08 10%
