Sad Went To Emergency Room Sunday!
Live in Ca. 11/29/09 I went to ER. I was laying on my bed with my foot up and I heard a pop noise and suddenly my whole right foot went numb, felt like something was shocking my foot from the tip of my big toe all the way up to my back, my foot was and still is this way, stabbing feeling, uncomfortable burning feeling in foot, also feels like someone is squeezing my leg real hard. ER. Dr. requested I make Appt. with Dr. so I called them on mon. They set me up with an appt. on 12/02/09. When my husband and I got to my Dr's. he signed me in and let the secretaries know we wanted a full copy of the nerve and muscle test signed and dated. My Appt. was at 10:00 we signed in 15 to 20 min. till, we sat there over a nour in a half, finally my husband got up and asked them how much longer, that is when they informed my husband my Dr. was not there and that I didn't have an appt. with him till the 9th. I asked if they had set me up with a foot specialist yet? The secretary told me there was nothing in my paper work that said any such thing, They turned me away even after I told them again what was going on with me and asked if they could make copies of the ER.reports, they did not want to they said bring them in next week when you see the Dr.

Life is like the ocean, it can be calm one minute and the next a wave will knock you off your feet, it's up to you to get back up and take control.

RE: Went To Emergency Room Sunday!
I called my att. office yesturday explained what is going on, they said we sent them a e-mail waiting for there response, I told my att. office, the Dr's. office turned me away I never want to go back there again all they do is lye and milk my case, my att. office called Dr's. office my Dr's. office set me up with a back specialist can you believe that? Shouldn't they send me to a foot specialist first? or someone that knows about nerves? I fear they are trying to dismiss the problems with my back. Am I wrong and should i get ahold of my att. and tell them i need a foot specialist first?
Thanks agai for taking out your time and for the info!

Sunshine, it is my opinion, I think as of the results you posted prior, you would want to see a (back specialist) as they are well versed in the Nerves. But, I think a good (foot specialist) would be in proper order to go along with the back specialist. I think, you need to be seen by both, as to what order that would be, it's my opinion back specialist would be first.

RE: Went To Emergency Room Sunday!
Sunshine, good call. I was in a bad accident which I suffered multi injuries. Was left in a hospital bed for 4 months, then wheel chair n started pt. Once strong enough I was able to get up with a walker, then progressed to a cane then without. I busted my butt to get to where I am now but in pt they kept trying to make me walk and couldnt do it because of severe foot pain. Well after several complaints to my pt and my dr and wc to aprove a foot specialist, about 6 months. I got my wish and the foot specialist hit it right on the head. After surgery my pelvis and hip was up 2 inches higher on my injured side, which after they made me some insoles for my shoes and my foot pain went away in a week.

My point is a back dr dont care if your foot hurts so seeing other drs is in my oppinion well worth its weight in gold.........

Hope all goes well and they get it all figured out for you..
