What should I do?
Hello to all my fellow Work comp friends,
I have a question? I live in the state of GA. I got hurt on the job back in August. I was on the school bus and the driver was driving about 65-70mph on the highway and hit the breaks to stop from hitting another car. I was thrown on the floor to the front of the bus. I was standing and holding on at the time to tend to a child that was crying. About 2 weeks or so, the bus was taken to the shop and it was revealed that the breaks were bad. I have been going back and forth to the doctors and physical therapy since. I also had an MRI of my neck and lower spine which showed no damage. I had an EMG which showed mild carpal tunnel of the Left hand ( I am right handed). I am scheduled for a mammogram for a mass that occurred during the accident. I have been on light duty but at my last appointment the restriction was lifted but I must still continue PT. I am still having lower back pain in which it is interferring with my household chores. I have been going to work with the restrictions but after I work a full 8 to 12 hours I have severe pain and may need to call out 2 o3 3 days at a time. I have called out a total of seven days for GA. This week, my employer gave me the week off saying I need time to rest and get my strength back. She did not give me an option to come to work. What should I do? Will I be paid benefits for this? Please help I am so frustrated and disgusted. |

RE: What should I do?
work comp only pays for disability.
disability has to be approved by a physician. if you have a union, contact your representative. It could be interpreted that the employer is unable to provide light work for the week. if your work restrictions have not changed then you are eligible for disability. talk to your doctor about modifying your time. |

RE: What should I do?
I was think most will not let you work over 8 hours if you are on restrictions. I know that might not be true so I'm just wondering
