Hi all Have been trying to get an appointment with the drs that did the surgery on my hands. My atty is telling me they are trying to get w/c to ok me going back to the drs. They are telling me since i was released in Dec 07 it is hard to get w/c to approve any further visits to the drs. My question is if I am still having all the symptoms ( pain, tingling, numbness, weakness, and have difficulty with picking up anything small) why since all of this was the chief complaint when this w/c case started is it so difficult to get back into the dr? What should I do? My atty says I can go back to the dr myself and pay for it. I cannot afford to go on my own as we are living on 1 income since all this happened and I have no medical insurance. Just a reminder I am from Oklahoma and had carpal tunnel release on both hands by 1st dr and then A1 pulley release both wrists and and 1st dosal release on both thumbs by another dr. Also as an update to past threads my atty is going to depose the spine specialist and wants me to go to va clinic for treatment on neck ( since i am a veteran ) and further documentation on the pain and problems with my neck. Appreciate all the help from all you wonderful folks on this forum!

RE: Question please
It's difficult to get their costs reimbursed if it turns out the current problems are not related to the condition you were released from 8 months ago.
On the otherhand if you pay for it up fornt and it is related to the prior or a new work injury you can apply for reimbursement from comp. Our health care system is broke; the individual insurance systems don't work well together and many are left uncovered. hopefully your vote in the coming election will put new leadership in place to improve the situation. |
