Is my company taking me for a ride?

RE: Is my company taking me for a ride?
I can only say that I think that you should at least consult with a lawyer. Since it is usually free of charge, prepare your questions ahead of time...to best usilize your 30-60 mins. If nothing else, you can find out if there is anything that you need to be doing. For me, I did not realize that in VA, even though the co. files with the state, the injured employee has to file a report as well. How was I to know that? It wasn't until I consulted with a lawyer that she brought that to my attn.

Good luck and keep us posted.

RE: Is my company taking me for a ride?

Hi hoosier...i agree about having or at least consulting an attorney. I could have never taken this WC ride without mine. When I was injured my claim was denied. I was paid for the first 6 months of my injury by using all of my sick days. I had alot of them, didn't care because I needed my paycheck. The Judge decided in my behalf 14 months after I was injured. I have never had a sick day re-established. I think this might be up to the individual employer. Mine also put me on FMLA without my knowledge. Some think that'sillegal but obviously isn't.

God is never late.

In the end it doesn't matter how many years were in your life but how much life was in your years.
