defense base act/ longshore and harbor workers W/C act
I am new to the site and hope I'm not recreating a thread, if I am I appologize...

Anyway, I messed up my knee working as a contractor in Iraq. I understand this W/C cliam falls under the Defense Base act under Longshore and Harbor workers. Has anyone gone through this process? I do have council, but am unsure of thier loyalty (besides the allmighty buck). At this point I have had the FCE and return to the DR on 1/9 for a rating. And of course not a dime in TTD 10 months after the injury...

Any help and insight would be greatly appreciated.

RE: defense base act/ longshore and harbor workers W/C act
those are federal employee work comp programs and administered by the Office of work comp programs under the dept of labor rather then a state program.
You can find more information on their webite
http://www.dol.gov/esa/owcp_org.htm
you also may be covered under provisions of the federal war hazards act

1171 thank you for the links... That is what I understood that these programs are federal programs. Has anyone gone through the process? Any info would be appreciated. As well is it normal for IC to with hold TTD for months after an informal conference?
