RE: Please update
I will post pics in a couple of days. Pete is about 2 years old, the same as my lab. My son took him for his first leash walk today and he apparently has had some training. He walked, didn't pull or try to get away. He sits and shakes his paw on command. He does think he is a lap dog though. I just wonder what his life was like before, or if there is a family missing him. He was in the shelter due to be put down, but they gave him a reprieve because they just knew someone would want him. He is going to work out just fine. Thanks everybody for your words of encouragement.

Sweet, I'm so sorry about Max. At the same time you had posted that, my Lab had miscarried all her puppies. She had been whining and has been so sad and that is why we went and got her a playmate. Pets love us unconditionally and when I'm so low I can't cope with anything, my cat also senses that, and she won't leave my side. I wish you the best Sweet.

So, Cap and ohers, I hope to have something positive to update but with all that is coming down on me right now, I just don't know. Think positive, think positive, think positive, thinik positive.......to be continued on Oct. 31st. TongueTongueTongue

Let Go, and Let God......

RE: Please update
Hi all... good to hear you are all doing so well. Monster only you could laugh at yourself once you fell in a ditch. Only you would be out there determined to get that ditch dig with a back like yours, well you and my husband, he is just as bad. But just as he does, I know you are suffering pain wise greatly at night but emotionally as maybe before. You someone who has to be busy and I can relate to that style of living.

Chris...big news is sounds like coming down the pike. My fingers are crossed for you and my heart is sending up the prayers now on your behalf. I know it will be good. We will all have a great halloween to celebrate this year.

sweet i am so sorry about max, I know that has been very difficult for you. You and your husband loved this dog and gave him the best of everything. You have wonderful memories and lovely pictures. I know that does not take his place as it would not for any loss, it can bring you some comfort during this time of great loss. I love you sweets... and hubby... you are the best... I got my birthday card today. It brighten my day a lot. Thank you.

As for me, nothing new really. My health is doing better this week and I am walking more than 100' this week. I have had no falls and I am smiling every day. Our house in on the market and we have had no lookers this week. I got five of the six boxes packed that had too go out, and I completed my art certification program. Now just waiting for my certificate. As for my husband, he is like monster, works around the house all day, and then hurts all night. He just finished rewiring the basement for surround sound, (don't ask me why it was there and then he took it out when I had my studio down there) and remodeled the room for a movie room. I don't know why he did it, the furniture is in Oregon...there is nothing to sit on down there, but he must be busy. He is almost down with his education program from the University of Phoenix and I am happy about that. His lawyer is still working on his case and it is close to closure also. I will update when completed. Other than that...we are doing just great. Cap thanks for asking. Red

RE: Please update

Vickie...... God bless that all turned out benign. Diverticulitis is very painful. I feel for you taking NSAIDS. The SI joint injection I had in 2000 for the same reason. Could not get rid of the pain. I'm going to woarn you that I thought it was horrible afterwards. The shot itself was no different if you remain calm, but when the nubing agent wore off i thought i would die. I guess that's where the pain was coming from. Turned out I had a really bad case of piriformis syndrome. OK now but it took years and a good PT and masseuse to get me through it. Will be praying you get answers.

CC...will remember that the light is at the end of the tunnel on Halloween. Prayers that the light stays lit for you. Enjoy your pets. They give so much comfort.

Red....I agree. Monster is one determined lady. Congrats on you certificate. When is the move? God bless hubby. That's all we can do is the best . We can try, we can hurt when we're done but as long as we don't sit down and give up we're ahead of the game. SO glad you have had no falls and are walking. Keep me posted on the move. We need to meet before hand if the three of us can get it together.

Sweet.....Whatever you wanted to update me on was fine. Max is uppermost on your mind right now. Happy for your SSD. Hopefully you'll be able to walk better soon. Sweets...love you back.

RE: Please update
I am still trying to recover from the ordeal I had Sept. 2 and the hospitalization with the E-Coli, bladder problems and acute renal failure. My kidney numbers look better. I saw the Urologist this past week and I am not able to empty my bladder so I am staying with a bacteria.....back on antibiotics, my 4th one and he will check me in 3 weeks to see if my bladder has fallen, which I think it has. I see the Nephrologist Tuesday for my kidneys as renal failure runs in my family. Lost my grandmother and my uncle to renal failure. Kidney stones also runs in my family as well. Still going to PT for my shoulder problem. This will be my 8th week of PT and it has not helped one bit. I see PM doc the first week of November. That's it for me. Take care and God Bless you Cap!

RE: Please update
I have two more pt appointments, then this Thursday I go back to the dr. He said the last time I saw him that he would "graduate" me from him this appointment. Hopefully that means I am about finished with this w/c crap. I am still having some problems, but I am ready to just live with it. The dr won't check anything out, just says it can take a year to heal. I guess I'll trust him.

I have an appointment with a dr my lawyer wants me to go to on Nov. 7th. I guess he will just check me out and see if he agrees with the wc dr.

I am going to school for an associates degree in marketing and management. So far so good except accounting. Thankfully this is my last math class! I have a B in accounting right now, and an A in three other classes.

Daughters and husband driving me crazy. I guess that hasn't changed! I am ready to start looking for a job now. I'm sure I won't be able to go back to what I was doing and to be honest I don't want to go back there. So it's time to start applying other places and see what happens.

I guess that's all that going on with me. I just know that I am still so thankful to have found this site and all of the wonderful people here. It is so nice to have somewhere to turn when you're in need. This is my place to go when I am in need. Thank you all for being here!

RE: Please update

Grandma..I am in extreme need of rum balls and lots of them. The trip was probably the worst we ever took. Got some good laughs at each other though. Glad Vegas was great. Still praying that they stop talking about settling your case and do it. Amazing how they want to keep fighting about the wording. They have to know that every good attorney is going to make sure their client is taken care of.

MJC...OMG! You must be in so much pain in so many places. Prayers will continue. I am almost 6 months post-op on the shoulder and still isn't right. Surgeon released me because as long as he feels the rotator cuff is healed he really didn't care about the rest of the surgery or the remaining and new pain and limitations. What's next? I'm seeing a PM Dr. for all 5 body parts now. It appears that the remaining pain on the shoulder side is from my messed up neck. God be with you.

ksgirl......Good for you finishing school. I took several accounting courses and found them to be brutal. A "B" is fantastic. Good luck with the attorney's Dr. I know exactly how you feel about getting on with life. Happy that you made arrangements knowing you would have to work elsewhere. Good move. Hubby and Kids??? Will always make you crazy.

RE: Please update
Hi all,
EVERY ONE of you people amaze me, lives so full of pain, yet hearts so full of love! What wonderful, and very special souls you all areSmile
My shoulder is still barking. I had a cortisone inj a couple weeks back which seemed to help it a bit....it felt looser in the joint itself, but sadly did nothing for the pain but "warm it up inside". O. doc thought it was actually more frozen than what he'd ever seen it. It's mine....so guess I gotta keep it and take whatever it gives me daily. Work hardening is ok...but I have had to triple my pain meds to do so, and now my tummy is crying. It is actually a degrading job as I was accustomed to free rein being creative and ran my own dept for the last 20 years. Now I have to punch a time clock, and take orders from a gal that has no manager skills whatsoever. Oh well, the things one must do and endure. Our dog HATES that his mom has to leave daily to go to work ...he's soo happy to see me come home. I actually had to hold him (he insisted) in the rocking chair and rock him as I did when he was a pup...he's now 110 pounds!! THAT was a load UGH!
I had my 6 month cardio testing that actually came out ok for a change (2nd time in 6 years)! I did not have to have another heart cath! Yippee, I hate those with a passion! No med changes (I dislike that too)...so guess I'm on an even keel. Just a bit more work hardening and then what...I donno. No news on settlement here, other than we rejected their counter offer.
Prayers for all....LillySmile

Injured worker, & tired of it all! I'm too old for games!!

Thank you for your words of support. I also have Periformis syndrome, and that muscle gets so knotted up and painfull. I had injections in it but not much relief. I also have Somatic dysfunction, Myofascial syndrome, muscle spasms/cramps, 3 bulging discs(mild) and chronic L5-S1 nerve root radiculpothy.
The Diverticulosis isn't W/C related, it was found when they did my test and removed the polyp for biopsy.
I'm not looking forward to this SI joint injection. When I went to my previous doctor my SI joint was dysfunctional and locked in place, he said after a few months that he had it unlocked. My new Dr. said that they will be able to tell when they use the flouroscope to do the injection. I just hope the 1 tablet of Xanax will help me be calm for this. I now it will hurt.

Take care
Vickie
