Without the Lien, it may never get addressed, as I have seen in the past. I had asked my Doctor's office to apply a Lien, to make sure the payment will be made. If not, I will be left holding the bag for the payment. Leaving them to sue me in civil court, which then I counter a suit against said employer. In Illinois, the Law for work states, the employer is the payee when sent to a doctor, with the forms from the employer. Must be sent by employer, with their form though to file a civil suit counter suit to work in your behalf. |
