It is the Turkish Van.
They are the only known species of domesticated cat that are known to have an affinity for water.

Seriously.... why do people have to do this?

I have a trivia question. Mostly for Truckster because he just HAD to be so sarcastic, but any can jump in and answer if they happen to know.
What company makes the fuel processor (fuel filter, water seperator, pre-heater unit) found on more than 50% of Freightliner trucks, and is standard equipment on all 2007 up HINO class 7 trucks?
If you have been a Diesel Mechanic for over 20 years you have probably ran across quite a few of these!

To give a hint, a butt load of them are sold to Volvo, Freightliner, Mack, and Navistar. They are also sold inside and outside the US as a Fleetguard product, but that is not the company that manufactuers them. I need to know the name of the company that makes the unit, not who sells it.

The Riddle of the Sphinx
© Copyright 2002, Jim Loy

In Greek mythology, the Sphinx sat outside of Thebes and asked this riddle of all travelers who passed by. If the traveler failed to solve the riddle, then the Sphinx killed him/her. And if the traveler answered the riddle correctly, then the Sphinx would destroy herself. The riddle:

What goes on four legs in the morning, on two legs at noon, and on three legs in the evening?

Oedipus solved the riddle, and the Sphinx destroyed herself.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The solution: A man, who crawls on all fours as a baby, walks on two legs as an adult, and walks with a cane in old age.

Of course morning, noon, and night are metaphors for the times in a man's (person's) life. Such metaphors are common in riddles. There were two Thebes, apparently this Thebes was the one in Greece. And this Sphinx was apparently not the one at Giza, in Egypt.

RE: Trivia question of the day - ksgirl - 07-18-2007 11:57 AM

The answer to what animal killed the most rats in one day is a rat terrier. I don't have his name, but he killed 2,501 rats in a seven hour period.
I guess that farm was full of rats. Anyway, rat terreirs are great hunters. They catch rats, mice and they dig up moles. Mine like to tree squirrels. They will also take on animals a lot larger than themselves which can be dangerous for them.
They are feisty critters, but they also love to be loved and are extremely devoted to their people.
Sorry for going on and on, but I love this breed of dog. I must, we have 18 of them right now (12 pups)!
