Tramadol - bronco54501 - 06-17-2009 11:38 AM

I was just given a script for this and wants me to just start at 1 untill I know how I will react. Due to some people it does make them tired and light headed. He knows I drive seven days a week and cant be on Narcs. Says once I know how they react with me I can take up to six per day along with my to celebrex I take.

Anyone have any input on this med / does it help, any body get tired?
Thanks .....Bronco.....

I took it with my first back injury. In interacts with something else I take now. I found it to be a more subtle pain reliever. Never took all the pain away but then nothing does with me anyway. I hope it helps.

Bronco, Tramadol and Ultram I don't Believe have been Put on the Opiates List in the U.S. Yet, but I believe it has been Deemed Addicting and a Synthetic Opiate in Europe, where it has been Used Extensively. Use Caution, especially Driving, and If You are a Class A or B Driver, You May want to Check the Regs. and See if it's Considered Safe to Drive with, in Case of an Accident as You know they Blood Test within 8 Hours of any Accident. I took them and they gave Me no Side Effects, they are Short Acting, thus the 6 a Day, but they did take the Edge Off for Me!! I wasn't Driving with them, but I could See how they would Help Lower Your 6-7 Pain Level! Good Luck!!Wink

Thanks again.

Yep thats why my Dr wants me to try it when I dont have to drive so we know how it affects me.
As far as the class a or b I use a much smaller vehicle for the reason my left eye was injured years ago and now have 20/200 vision. Not able to obtain 1 cause I did not fall in that time period when it was allowed.

Good luck with Tramadol. I hope it works for you. When I first got hurt a few months ago the dr put me on them for my back pain.. Well they didn't help relieve my pain, I guess it just depends on how bad your pain is,,, nor did I have any side effects from them.

I take 3 to 6 per day plus 3 muscle relaxers and two Naproxen(anti-inflamatory). The Tramadol works on my pain but it is addictive. It does make you tired until you get used to it so be careful driving. I stop mine every couple of months for a week or so just to make sure I can stop. When I stop, it is about two or three days of not being able to sleep and being very jittery. My advice, take it but be careful.

Tramadol is actually a narcotic albeit a mild one. Because they are potentially impairing in some people, can be addicting in some people and cause headaches in a lot of people due to it's rapid onset of action, a new once a day slow release formulation is now available with little to nonr of the side effects or problems in the regular Tramadol ( Ultram)
