Reaggravation of a work related injury - VeeDub1019 - 06-16-2009 01:40 PM If I have an aggravation of a previous work related injury, is it covered under workers comp?!??? I live in WV . In the past yr, I have had 3 hernia repairs containing 6 hernias in all. I just returned to work about a month ago , with a permanent lift restriction of no more than 15lbs. I have another hernia, and I was wondering if it would be covered under workers comp?? RE: Reaggravation of a work related injury - 1171 - 06-16-2009 01:56 PM aggravations are new injuries. if it was aggravated at work then you can file new claim. http://www.workerscompensation.com/forums/general/showthread.php?tid=7602 RE: Reaggravation of a work related injury - VeeDub1019 - 06-16-2009 01:58 PM Well this will be the 4th time . Every other time, they have just reopened my case and went from there. 1171 Wrote:aggravations are new injuries. if it was aggravated at work then you can file new claim. RE: Reaggravation of a work related injury - 1171 - 06-16-2009 03:00 PM i'm not sure what your question is. sounds like the answer is yes. if it worked the last 3 times why wouldn't it work again? are you leaving some information out? RE: Reaggravation of a work related injury - VeeDub1019 - 06-16-2009 03:08 PM Well previously, I was on the floor working (in the hospital) and now I am in administration. I am restricted to lifting , however, I do still lift minimal things. About a week a go I noticed a lump and severe pain over the incision of the last hernia. I contacted brickstreet and asked them if this injury would be covered and they said that they claim was still open and that a reaggravation would be covered, but I am still hesistant. 1171 Wrote:i'm not sure what your question is.
