anyone had this type of injury? - izell - 05-10-2009 03:01 PM
I'm in La. Delivery driver. Hurt while unloading cases of copy paper. EMG says that;1) bilateral median and ulnar motor nerves revealed prolonged distal latencies and decreased conduction velocities. 2) demyelinating peripheral neuropathy of bilateral upper extremities of moderate to servere degree. 3) moderate chronic C7-C8 radiculopathy on the right. Any info will be greatly accepted. I really love driving the BIG RIGS. I mis them and the open road. Any TRUCKERS out there got their ears on ?

I am a fellow trucker (although it has been a while due to my injury). Have you had an MRI or CT scan? Although the EMG test is good to have and so enjoyable when getting it I think an MRI would give a better idea of what may be wrong with you.
Good luck and Be Well

Hi there I have had a cervical fusion of the C5-C6 disc. It has been like 5 years now. The bracket has slipped and is sitting on the C7 disc now. THe C4 disc is weak. I have the nerve damage aslo down the right side also caused from the C7 nerve impingement. I found out 2 weeks ago they will have to go back in my neck and take out the current bracket and screws. While in there they will fuse the C4 thgough the C7 disc. So now I will have a 3 level cervical fusion.

CDL here also, sounds like you have something going on in your neck 9cervical spine) area. Treatment, X-rays, and possible MRI would be needed to follow up on the rest at this point.

Hello everyone. Been away for awhile. No type of response yet from WC. I was qualified for Medicaid recently. So now I have an appointment with an neurologist this week coming. Should I mention to her about my job related injury? Should I take a copy of all diagnostic tests that I have?
