This report was deeply disturbing to me even if he is not my candidate of choice.They arrested 2 skin heads in kentucky and more arrests may follow. What in the world is going on in this country. I am ashamed that anyone would go so far as to make an attempt on his life because of his race and political beliefs. My heart goes out to the obama family and the fear this must have put them through. I pray that this country can find a way to come together after this election and work together to solve the serious issues this country is facing. God Bless Us All!

There are more skin heads and KKK in this country than you can imagine. It is scary.
I said all along he'd never make it through the first year of office (if elected) without getting assinated. There are too many sick minded and prejudice people in our country. Palin will have a security problem too....to many sicko woman haters.

and now this morning a man in Ca hanging a Palin effegy.....but nothing will be done about that after all us women are second class......you can bet your best underwire bra if that had been a black male manikin that man would be in jail.......

There is also an “artist†using a life size image of Palin and her daughter that is charging people to pose with a rifle pretending to be shooting them for photographs. It is a sick world.

OMG...I hadn't heard/read about that one Tim! It IS sick!
What happened between now and the 1950's? Back then people didn't lock their doors...there was no car jackings, home invasions, thieft was rare, people knew, and were friends with their neighbors, murder's were seldom...especially small towns, it was safe for your kids to ride their bikes without fear of abduction....where the USA went, is a mystery....where it's headed, is downright frightening!!!!

In my humble opinion it is a question of personal responsibility. When I was growing up every father I knew did whatever he had to too support his family. If that meant taking two or three crappy jobs when things were bad, that was what he did. Every mother knew that how their children acted was their responsibility, and wouldn’t hesitate to drag them down the street by their ears if they were misbehaving. Furthermore, everyone in town knew the town’s safety was there responsibility. I was ratted out by more than one neighbor, and I even ended up over a few knees other than my parents when they thought I was out of line.
The family and community well being was not the responsibility of the government. In fact, most of us would have been offended by the government trying to act like our mom. The more the government takes over the responsibilities of individuals, family and community, the less people are willing to take responsibility for their own actions. It has reached the point where many people in our society seem to think they are simply entitled to a good life without any effort on their part. That is the true cause of the cancer eating away at our society.

Well said Timothy! I Lived in a small town in Ny in my teenage years and my dad drove an LP gas truck doing local deliveries and the second I got in any trouble dad knew. And your right Timothy people did not expect government handouts and people were too proud to take any. The government has taken over what the churches and community organizations use to take care of.

to our downfall....I still live in one of those towns...if my kids get in trouble at school I hear about it before they get home....Ahhhhhhhh but some still want the nanny goverment......It is a shame when we dont do as we should instead wanting the goverment to do it for us......many times my Husband has worked 2 jobs to keep us afloat but to go on welfare was not an option as long as we could both work we did....we both now get SSDI but we both worked for it it wasnt a given....It was a shame to be on the dole... now its a point of honor to get what they can instead of work......

I believe the word "NIGGER" has been given to much power...........My daughter was called a nigger at school...I believe the teacher handled it beautifully...the child who called her that was given a 1000 word essay to write all about the word "nigger"..and read it to the class..By the time she was done all the children knew not only how it had been used as slang but what the word really ment....Carrie doesnt find the word offensive she finds the person who uses it offensive it shows THEIR stupitity.......she doesnt like being called black...she is brown but most of all she is human and if we all looked at a person as human and not male/female black/yellow/white/green we would be a better world...However putting a black man in the presidents chair to prove we arent raciest is plain stupid....and as raciest as one can be because that says we are raciest agaist white ....why cant we just vote in who can take care of america the best be they a martian if he can do the job best...we are going overboard to prove a point...Political cartoons ARE NOT POLITACALLY CORRECT but many on here went ape chit over one both sides sending the naughty grams.....big deal I find the hanging and shooting of any one wrong period.....But its ok in this election cuz we gotta go overboard to prove we are not raciest....However if it would have been Obama in that noose or being shot every media outlet in the world would be screaming

This is why I love small communities. My neighbors watch out for each other.
If someone is in need we help each other.
I have a 17 yr old that drives. If my daughter drives to fast, I get a phone call before she gets home. Her uncle is police chief, my step brother is assistant police chief, and my brother-in-law in head of road patrol.
