Did you talk to your attorney about going to your personal doctor while waiting for the comp case to be open?

I don't know about your state but in my state it is illegal and fraud to use your personal doctor for a WC injury. I'm sure though, if you spoke to your attorney, they would have told you if that was the case.

I know that you have asked not to answer but here I go. Yes I did talk to my attorney & it was his suggestion that if I feel that I need medical attention while the IC ignored my calls the see my personal doctor. In NJ you are allow to see any other doctor but you will be paying out of pocket as I did. It not fair that you have to rely on just the IC doctors who in most case try to just say nothing wrong & push you back to work

I'm glad that in your state it is allowed. If we were to use our nsurance here it could cause all sorts of issues.

Thankfully for me the PTP I see was recommended to me as the best in the area from a spinal surgeon and I got really lucky he was on the approved list with the IC. He's been a blessing. He really looks out for me not only medically but even with legal things. I know this may not be the norm.

Really sounds like you need a new doc.. In NJ are you allowed to change PTP's? If so, I would ASAP!

I had 1 WC doctor that said I need surgery and 1 WC doctor said that I am MMI. What now? Does anyone knows what will happen at this point?

Sounds like you are kinda screwed. If you don't have the surgery I believe they will mark you as MMI anyway and send you back to work. And of course the IC will want to side with the doc who says you are MMI because they won't want to pay for surgery. =|
