I have not worked in over 7 years. I have learned to not dwell on what I cannot do but dwell on what I can do.

Actually, I had no choice IMO but to make the best out of a bad situation.

I have lost 85 lbs since March 7,2010. Now dieting will keep you occupied! LOL

I'm not as long as the last 2 but little over a year the first time and now has been 5 months.. And as Jayne said the first year was the worst and being stuck in a wheel chair and a bed and then a walker to the cane, really had me stuck at home... What to do was very hard for me to accept. The computer took up a lot of my time, 80% was at pogo and the rest of the time was books, magazines, puzzles etc..... Then once able to move around a bit I visited family and friends and then I found this awsome place and found it like home....... I have not been on pogo for awhile, my new thing is face book, farming the most. They have a large choice of free games and some very addicting... Once you find a liking to somthing (hobbie) it makes the day go better....

Basically since 8-12-05. I am going to school and persuing a degree. That takes up about half my day. The other half is spent on the computer or getting in trouble with the wife.

I was injured Nov 2005, and returned to work for a few weeks after surgery then told my services were no longer needed once I reached MMI (first time)

I've had 5 surgeries related to work comp since the injury.

Currently I am receiving traction, stim, & massage for the cervical spine trying to delay an ACDF. That injury was caused by the work comp doctor this summer while he was doing an exam.

I volunteer for United Way on my better days, right now there arn't many of them.

been out of work 96weeks 6days with no income at all other than spouses income. ic ruled in my favor twice and ei appealed both times.waiting on whatever comes next. no income makes it hard because you have to hang around the house and go stir crazy. only able to survive by spouse borrowing from 401k to keeep us afloat. makes you want to, well, whatever. ssdi denied, restrictions makes it hard to find a job, which my attorney doesn't approve of me doing! employer will not terminate me or lay me off but have nothing to accomidate my restrictions. unemployment agent says to file as employed worker since employer will not find me something to do. says it may take a couple months and may not be approved! still waiting!!!
